What We Believe

That God, the Creator of heaven an earth, has inspired the 66 books of the Bible so that they contain truth without any mixture of error;

That God manifests himself in the three Persons of the Trinity--God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit--who are one in essence and saving purpose;

That Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary, ministered on earth among the people, and died on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of all those whom God would enable to repent from their sins and trust Jesus by faith with their lives as their Lord and Savior;

That God honored the perfect obedience of Jesus by raising him from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion and death; and

That Jesus has the honor and authority appropriate to his being God, that he intercedes for his people and that he will return visibly one day to end history and judge all men.

Dishman Baptist Church is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. We accept the Baptist Faith and Message as our offical church doctrinal statement.
