WAKE is a group of 7th – 12th grade students who are discovering just how awesome God is!!
We find that having a relationship with Jesus is sweet!! Whenever we get together, we look for ways to grow in our understanding of what a relationship with Jesus really means. In this way, we are always challenged to honor Him with our daily lives by shining His light in the world around us. This includes making right decisions, helping people, and telling others about our Savior, Jesus.
So “WAKE” up, and come join us!!
We are currently meeting on Thursday nights at the WAKE HOUSE right next to Dishman Baptist Church. God has shown us some serious love in tons of ways and this is the place we dig in to God’s Word and soak it up!! We play tons of weird GAMES and some not so weird ones, throw down SWORD DRILLS, and rock out during our MUSIC WORSHIP. Our small group times are awesome for going a little deeper and finding out the answer to the question on everyone’s mind, “What’s the Bible really saying?!?” All this leads us to figuring out how we can impact our world. If you want to know God’s purpose for you, what He has planned for you, and how He wants to use you, check us out!!
Hey, if you want to go even deeper…… check out our Sunday morning Bible studies. We meet in the WAKE HOUSE still, it’s just at 9:45 in the morning!! Talk about WAKING UP!! You’ll be glad you came. For example… Did you know that after David used his sling and one of the smooth stones to hit Goliath in the forehead, David took Goliath’s own sword, and cut off Goliath’s head to bring to King Saul?!?!? WHAT?!? How does this show God’s love for you?!?! Come and find out!
Not only are we striving to live like Jesus in our own community, but we get involved with God’s work around the world!! We go on MISSION TRIPS to different states and sometimes different countries! We participate in the 30 HOUR FAMINE 
to help feed children around the world, and we participate in VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL to help impact future generations throughout our city!
We also believe that God wants us to live in light of the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross! We do this in a variety of activities aimed at having a blast while at the same time living for Him. These include, but are not limited to, summer camps, retreats, conferences (statewide and nationwide), basketball, football, ping pong, foos ball, “Killer Bunnies”, All-Nighters, game nights, broom ball on ice, Neutron Bomb 2.0, TRON, ultimate frisbee and frisbee golf, concerts, snow tubing, water tubing (is that the same thing?), etc. We know God wants us to live life to the fullest so that’s what we aim to do and all the while we shine His light!!
We welcome anyone and everyone (7th-12th grade) looking for a place where they can take a serious look at what it truly means to be a follower of Jesus and have a great time during the process. Living for Jesus is not always easy, but the end result is out of this world!! I’m looking forward to meeting you! Shalom!
